“Nature to be commanded, must be obeyed” was a noteworthy saying of Francis Bacon. This way of thinking is nowhere more correct than when it comes to teaching dogs. Dogs will have a natural inclination to search for and stay with a ranking structure with a leader (alpha) at the topmost of the pack and all the way down to an omega at the bottom. That is why the ‘Down’ technique is certainly helpful for reinforcing your position as alpha.

“Nature to be commanded, must be obeyed” was a famous expression of Francis Bacon. This sentiment is nowhere more on target than when it comes to training dogs. Dogs will have a natural predisposition to seek out and stay with a ranking structure with a leader (alpha) at the topmost of the pack and all the way down to an omega at the bottom. That is why the ‘Down’ command is unquestionably constructive for supporting your status as alpha.

Francis Bacon once said, “Nature to be commanded, must be obeyed.” When it comes to training a dog, this saying is very wise indeed. Dogs, as a species, are accustomed to a hierarchy structure of command and leadership. That’s the way they naturally function and would continue to function if we had not domesticated them to be pets. So they are accustomed to a structure where everyone-or every dog-has his place in the pack-from the alpha leader to the bottom or omega dog. When you teach your dog the “down” technique, you are asserting your place as the alpha in the dog’s world.

These habits that they have developed along with the treats that you give them make it a lot easier to train a dog.

Dogs are amazing creatures in that they conform to their owner’s desires in almost all cases. You would be amazed at the things a dog will do to please their owner, especially when there is some sort of treat involved when all is said and done. There are things that they do as a matter of course, and those are the things that you’re going to want to use while you train them to do tricks. If you combine these methods with treats, then you’ll find that it’s a lot easier to do the training.

For the most part dogs are enthusiastic to do what their owners want and try their best to please when it comes to reaping a reward for doing so. These are dog tendencies that need to be used when it comes time to teach them tricks. It makes sense to work with their natural predilections. By building on these natural ‘dog’ tendencies and behaviors in association with rewards to generate pet tricks, the procedure becomes easier than trying to teach a trick from scratch.

Surely every dog deserves a dog bed. No matter what type of dog you have there is a perfect bed for her. There are round durable tartan beds for hunting dogs and fainting couch beds for the, let’s say “dogs that don’t hunt”. Whatever bed suits your dog there are a number of common factors to consider.
